The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Purcell Register, Thursday, September 16, 1926 Simon Jude Boudreau, aged 84 years, 11 months and 17 days, passed away Friday night, Sept. 10th at 9 o'clock at the family home, 312 So. Canadian avenue. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Father Van Gastel, were held from Our Lady of Victory church, Monday morning at 9 o'clock. Interment was made in Hillside cemetery. Mr. Boudreau was born near Montreal, Canada, I 1841. He moved with his parents to Illinois in 1853. In 1871 he was united in marriage with Margaret Ellen Swimm and to this union five children were born, three daughters and two sons. All survive, with the exception of one daughter, Mrs. Leona Estis, who passed away December 26th, 1920. The two sons are John A. Boudreau who lives in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and Clarence E. Boudreau who lives in El Dorado, Kansas. Both were here to attend the funeral. The two daughters, Mrs. Nellie Pool and Mrs. Walter Robertson live in Purcell. Mr. Boudreau came to Purcell in 1894, moving here from Kansas. He was a harness maker by trade and for many years was active in business, retiring about twelve years ago, when the infirmities of life came upon him. He was a respected citizen, loved and respected by all who knew him. The Register joins with all the friends in offering sympathy to the bereaved family and relatives.
