The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/ -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stroke Is Fatal To Mrs. Boudreau - Last Rites Are Conducted At Catholic Church For Mother of Nine - The Purcell Register - October 19, 1939 Requiem mass was said Monday morning for Mrs. Josephine Boudreau at Our Lady of Victory church by the pastor, Father Louis Hugh. Mrs. Boudreau died Saturday folling a stoke at the home of her sister, Mrs. Delima Cardinal. Burial was made at Hillside cemetery. All but one of her nine children attended the last rites. Mrs. Alma Knox of Carlisle, Pa., could not reach here in time. Other surviving sons and daughters are Mrs. Annie Marquis, Emile Boudreau, Purcell; Mrs. John Price, Fairfax; Mrs. Chas. Anhalt, Norman; Mrs. Denna Lewis, Oklahoma City; Leo Boudreau, Hominy; Mrs. Cecelia Garrett, Cushing; and Louis Boudreau, Arkansas City, Kans. Two brothers, Louis (Jude) Boudreau of Purcell and Alex of Oklahoma City, and her sister, Mrs. Cardinal, also survive as do 25 grandchildren. Mrs. Boudreau was born in Illinois on Oct. 29, 1860. She was married to the late Steve Boudreau on January 14, 1879. They moved to Kansas and later to Oklahoma, arriving here in 1891. For many years Mr. Boudreau was a well known Purcell carpenter. He died in September, 1924. Serving as pallbearers were Dolphus Dumas, Louis Groothouse, Ed Price, Frank Hesse, Will Hesse and Eldon Dumas.
