He had been working for the Santa Fe for the past 16 years. Born in Purcell, Brinkle had been ill with heart trouble for the past few months and had been out of the hospital only a week when he suffered the fatal stroke. Rosary was held Sunday evening at the Yoakum church chapel, with the funeral service Monday morning at Our Lady of Victory church. Father Kenneth Fulton officiated and internment was at Hillside cemetery. Brinkel is survived by his wife Helena and a daughter Veronica of the home address 721 South Canadian. Also three brothers - John, Bill and Ben Brinkle all of Broadview, Montana. Brinkle will be remembered for the beautiful Nativity scene he erected in his yard and at the Catholic church each Christmas. Casket bears were Frank Hease, Robert Stephens,
