He died at his home at 117. W. Apache following a serious illness of several weeks. Born in Texas, Cobb moved to Purcell from Norman in 1906. That same year he was married to Miss Connie Steely at Lexington. They established a home in Purcell where he entered the grocery business, the trade he followed until his retirement a few years ago. He was a member of the First Christian Church. Funeral services were held in the Conner-Dobbins Chapel, with Rev. Burros Ringsby officiating. Interment was in Hillside cemetery. Cobb is survived by his wife, of the home; a daughter Mrs. Billie Hollis, Oklahoma City; two sons, Bethel of Purcell; Leo of Lexington, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. H.L. Hinton, Herschel Carr, Alton West, Lou Martindale, J.P. Morgan, and Omer Lockmiller served as casket bearers. Honorary bearers were: Les Blair, John Emerson, J.C. Hanks, Joseph Kerbo, M.G.
