Olivet Cemetery--Pauls Valley OK Norman Transcript 8 Jul 2003 *Lou Couch Lou Couch, 56, of Purcell and formerly of Wynnewood died Sunday, July 6, at Norman Regional Hospital. Services will be 1 p.m. today at Purcell First Baptist Church with Patrick Mead officiating. A committal service will be at 3 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Pauls Valley. Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell is handling arrangements. Mrs. Couch was born Oct. 1, 1946, in Pauls Valley to Harrell Ray and Hazel Louise Owens Whitaker. She graduated from Purcell High School in 1964. She married Gary Couch Sept. 24, 1965, in Maysville. They lived in Pauls Valley several years before moving to Wynnewood in 1972. She was a secretary at Wynnewood Middle School for 25 years. Mr. and Mrs. Couch moved to Purcell in May 2002 to be close to their family. She worked a short time for the McClain County Treasurer’s office. She was a member of Wynnewood First Baptist Church for 27 years. She was a member of Purcell First Baptist Church. Mrs. Couch is survived by her husband, Gary Couch of the home; mother, Hazel Whitaker of Lexington; daughter, Laryssa Couch of Purcell; son, Kevin Couch of Norman; sister, Cindy Hayes and husband, Gary, of Purcell; grandchildren, Colton Couch of Norman and Olivia and Isaiah Couch of Purcell; several aunts and uncles including Bud and Freda Bechtel of Broken Arrow; and several nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
