All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Odessa American 18 Aug 2004 Jessie Cleo Collins MONAHANS — Jessie Cleo Collins was a loving mother, grandmother, great- grandmother, great-great-grandmother and friend. Cleo passed away peacefully August 16, 2004, in Arlington, Texas. Cleo has lived in Monahans since 1955 after moving from Crane. Jessie Cleo Collins was born September 20, 1909, in Byars, Oklahoma. She was the oldest child of nine. Parents were Willie Helen Templeton and Thomas Jefferson Snelson. She married William Lee Collins January 7, 1928. Cleo loved life, the Lord, her family and was a dedicated mother. Cleo was preceded in death by her husband, William Lee Collins. She is survived by sons, Billy Ray Collins and Roy Joe Collins, both of Lancaster, Calif., and Johnny Collins of Grants Pass, Ore.; daughters, Delores Solomon of Odessa, Tommie Long of Arlington and Cindy Collins of Kermit; sisters, Vera Trussell of Aurora, Colo., Tillie Webster of Brownwood and Verna Livingston of Odessa; 17 grandchildren; 27 great- grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren. Cleo will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 2004, at Southside Baptist Church in Monahans, Texas, with Curtis Brewer officiating the service. Burial at Monahans Memorial Cemetery.
