Died August 21, 1925. She was married to William Christian April 19, 1848, and to this union 8 children were born six of whom survive her. She obtained a hope in Christ in early life and united with the Presbyterian church at the age of 17 and lived a devoted and consecrated life to the end. She bore her sufferings and afflictions with great patience and fortitude, never murmured or complained, cheerful always and greatly disposed to make other's enjoy the bright side of life. she spent her last days with the youngest daughter, Mrs. Ed Evans, who together with her husband and children, spared no pains to make life as pleasant and comfortable as it was humanly possible to do. Funeral services were conducted by Elder A.D. West at Fairview school house with a large congregation of friends and neighbors as well as relatives attending, after which interment was made in Hillside cemetery at Purcell to await the resurrection at which time her body though sown a natural aged, and in firm worn-out body will shine forth in the image of Him to whom she reposed her trust. Bleased throught, then all the redeemed will be at home. - A friend.
