Clement, 86, pioneer Oklahoma resident, died early Saturday in St Anthony hospital. She had been bed-ridden since an accident Mother's Day in which she suffered a broken leg. Mrs Clement was born in Indianapolis, Ind., and crossed Indian Territory in an ox-train bound for Texas several years before land here was open for white settlers. In 1898 she moved to Purcell, where her husband, the late J.A.Clement, operated a general mercantile store for many years. A member of the Methodist church, she lived here with a daughter, Mrs Mabel Marshall, 905 NW 12. Other survivors are two sons, T.R. Clement, Texas City, Texas, and J.M.Clement, 607 NW 8; another daughter, Mrs E.H.Beaver, Laguna Beach, Calif., and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
