All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm +========================================================================+ Norman Transcript October 21, 2003 Marvin Clark Dye Marvin Clark Dye, 77, of Norman, died Saturday, Sept. 27. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Alameda Church of Christ with the Rev. Robert Dye officiating. Burial will follow at Independence Cemetery. Primrose Funeral Service in Norman is handling arrangements. Mr. Dye was born Feb. 8, 1926, to Clarence and Vada F. (Clark) Dye in McClain County. He graduated from Norman High School and attended the University of Oklahoma. He served in the Navy from 1944-46. He retired as a custodial supervisor from OU after 32 years of service. He was a member of Alameda Church of Christ. He enjoyed reading and taking long walks. Mr. Dye was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Dorothy J. (Sawyer) Dye; second wife, Frances Anne Rea-Dye; son, Blaine Clark Dye; sisters, Thelma Hunt and Irma Phillips; and brother, Herschel Dye. Mr. Dye is survived by his sons, Roger and Paul Andrew Dye, both of Norman; wife, Raquel of Norman; daughters, Jane Dye and husband, John Vetter, of Norman and Marilyn Rose Dye, of Tecumseh; brothers, Arthur R. and Glenn Dye, both of Norman; and grandchildren, Ian, Alejandro, Trinh, Joshua, Olivia and Grace. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Dye’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1 N.
