All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Mercer-Adams FH--OKC OK Hale, Martha Faye (Marcum) Martha Faye (Marcum) Hale passed away Friday, June 20, 2003 at the age of 78. Faye was born on January 17, 1925 in Blanchard, the youngest of ten children of Orpha (Ely) and William Henry Marcum. Faye worked as a homemaker and briefly for Western Electric, T.G.&Y. and Acme Potato Chip Companies. She was a very capable gardener, cook and seamstress and took pride in her ability to create unique and colorful items by hand. After living many years in Oklahoma City, she found the small town atmosphere she always liked as a resident of Bethany, where she most recently resided in the Southern Plaza and Forest Glade Retirement communities. She found a church home there in the Evangelistic Center and was greatly comforted by Brother Monroe Stevens, who will officiate at her memorial service. Faye was preceded in death by two husbands, James R. Best and Harvey Hale. She is survived by her sister Hazel Moss of Zavalla, TX, and by her daughters, Saundra J. Stewart and husband Ronald, of Oklahoma City, and Linda D. Scott and husband David, of Amarillo, TX; and by grandchildren Bryan Capps, Amarillo; Michelle Valdez and husband Eric, Amarillo; Dominique Shadid and husband Chris, Oklahoma City; Nicole Stewart, Fort Worth; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, at the Mercer-Adams Chapel, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany. Donations in Faye's memory may be made to Olivia's Angels, BSA Hospice, P.O.
