Josephine Harris

Josephine Harris, 78, of Purcell died Sunday, July 20, at her home. 
Services will be at 4 p.m. today St. John’s Episcopal Church in Norman 
with Father Dwight Helt officiating. Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell 

is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Harris was born Sept. 9, 1924, in Marlow, to Moody and Gladys Woods 
Thompson. She married Claude Earl Harris June 2, 1945, in Riverside, 
Calif. They moved to Purcell in 1979. Mrs. Harris was a homemaker 
throughout her life.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her husband, Claude Harris of Purcell; 
daughters, Claudia Bryant and husband, Harvey, of Edmond and Liz Welch and 
husband, Jim, of Overland Park, Kan.; son, Jim Harris and wife, Sabine, of 
Aiken, S.C.; sister, Betty Teel; nine grandchildren; and many other family 
members and friends.
