All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Harrison, Ruby Rachel Ruby Rachel Harrison was born to Frank and Alice West on September 6, 1914 in Davis, Oklahoma. She passed away January 12, 2003 at age 88. Ruby loved life and lived it to the fullest. She grew up with her family in Davis and around Garvin County. Ruby attended Woodland School. She married Fred Warren Harrison on 10/14/1933 near Davis, Oklahoma. To this marriage were born three children. Ruby moved to Oklahoma City in 1945 and later in 1974 to Blanchard. Ruby's home and family always came first. She was a great homemaker and worked occasionally for the Oklahoma County Election Board. Ruby is a member of the Blanchard First Baptist Church, active in the 3 G's Club at the church, an active member of the Cole Home Demonstration Club. She took pride in gardening, sewing and quilting which was evident by the Blue Ribbons she won from local county fairs. She is survived by her son Roland Harrison and his wife Patsy of Minco, her daughter Betty Fogle and her husband Clint of Oklahoma City, and Carrie Johnson and husband Kenneth of Newcastle, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren. Her four sisters Vera Harrison of Talala, Oklahoma, Ella Mae Stout of Sulphur, Wanda Howard of Ardmore, and Ivease Pruitt of Sulphur also survive her. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred in 1986. Services were held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 14, 2003 at the Blanchard First Baptist Church. Rev. Ray Sims officiated with interment held in the Resthaven Cemetery, OKC. Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard, made arrangements.
