Violet Mae Krueger was born July 11, 1912 in Peckham, Okla. to George and Texa (Kerfoot) Hunter. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and sisters; husband, Edward; sons, Norval, Jimmy and Mike; three grandchildren; one great grandchild; and one great great grandchild. Survivors include her children, Karol Irons, John and Bonnie Krueger, Valera and Don McKay, David Krueger, Dean and Linda Krueger, all of Blanchard, Helen and Dave Davison of Newcastle, Ron and Janice Krueger of Oklahoma City, and Hope and Jerry Davison of Wheatland; 41 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Violet was very active until the end of her life in her faith, and in the service of the Lord. She lived her whole life for her family, spending the majority of her later years using her talents in crafts, giving virtually every piece she created to her children and grandchildren. She kept her family close to her by keeping innumerable photographs of all her family within her reach. Putting her thoughts into poetry was another gift, which she shared with more than one of her grandchildren. All will remember that she had a wonderful way of establishing a special bond with everyone she encountered. She was a very loving and caring person who will be greatly missed by all who loved her. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for all of their care, compassion and help. Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 2004 at Eisenhour Chapel at 2500 N. Council (Hwy. 76) in Blanchard with Rev. Floyd Been and Rev. Nathaniel Thomas officiating. Graveside services and interment to follow at 2 p.m. at the Little Cemetery in Little, Okla. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to McClain County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/mcclain/mcclain.html
