Thelma Levassar Thelma Levassar, 72, of Amarillo died Friday, Nov. 7, 2003. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with the Rev. Floyd Slaughter officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Mrs. Levassar was born July 15, 1931, in Byars, Okla., to Oscar Stephen and Myrtle Alice Weeks Brogdon. She was a homemaker. She married Sarl Junior Levassar Nov. 19, 1949, in Quitaque. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bennie Brogdon. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Renee Meredith and husband, Curt, of Amarillo; three sons, Sarl Levassar and wife, Joni, of Fritch, Michael Levassar and wife, Lynne, of Garland and Greg Levassar of Amarillo; three sisters, Lee Woods of Amarillo, Alice Jean Frye of Dallas and Daisy Slaughter of Lufkin; four brothers, John Brogdon of Amarillo, Glenn Brogdon and Homer Brogdon, both of Fort Worth and Dave Brogdon of Missouri; and five grandchildren, John Curtis Meredith, Cristy Meredith, Alisa Meredith, Jessica Levassar and Rachelle Levassar. The family will be at 4507 Chisholm. The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79101.
