Lockmiller Funeral services for Lucy J. Lockmiller, 82, Rt. 2, Purcell, were held Wednesday in the Yoakum Memory Chapel with Rev. Jack Sappenfield and Rev. Geraqld Clubb officiating. Burial was in Hillside cemetery. She was born May 25, 1903 at Alex and moved to McClain county as a young girl of 14 where she attended the Fox school. She married Omer Lockmiller on Nov. 18, 1923 and lived in the Fox Community until 1925 when they moved to their present home. They had been married 63 years at the time of her death. Mrs. Lockmiller was a charter member of the Union Hill Baptist Church and also a member of the Double FF Club. She died March 15, 1986 in the Norman Regional Hospital following an extended illness. She is survived by her husband, Omer Lockmiller of the home; a daughter and her husband; a sister-in-law; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Lucy is my great aunt by marriage.
