K.S. Fulton officating. Mrs. Marquis had been a resident of Purcell for 69 years. She was born Nov. 29, 1879 in Kansas. She died at McCurdy Memorial hospital Sunday, Sept 27. She was married to Joseph H. Marquis Nov. 5, 1901, in Purcell and was a member of the Catholic church. Survivors include a duaghter, Mrs. Ethel Baird of Burbank, Calif.; two sons, Leo of Lexington and Henry of Norman; and one child preceded her in death. Other survivors include four sisters, Mrs. John Dufran of Noble, Mrs. Earnest Knox of Purcell, Mrs. Carl Garrett of Ponca City and Mrs. John Pierce of Fairfax; three brothers, Emile Boudreau of Purcell, Leo Boudreau of Norman, and Louis Boudreau of Arkansas City, Kan. Also, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchld. Burial was in Hillside cemetery under direction of Conner-Dobbins funeral home. Casket bearers were Homer Boudreau, Buddy Williams, Carl Garrett, George Boudreau, George Peltier Jr., and Ed Price.
