Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Blanchard Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Richey officiating. Eisenhour Funeral Home, Blanchard, is handling arrangements. Bernice was born Nov. 27, 1928, in Bridge Creek to Lou Ellen (McKinney) and Lloyd "Penny" Troutt. She graduated from Blanchard High School. She met Ernest Moore on a blind date in July 1947 and they were married Sept. 20, 1947, in Chickasha. They made their home in Blanchard until September 1959, when they moved to Norman. While they were living in Blanchard, their son, Lloyd Wayne, was born Oct. 10, 1950. Bernice worked for the Blanchard Telephone Company from 1947 until 1951, and then was employed with the First State Bank of Blanchard. She worked as a teller with City National Bank in Norman from January 1955 until her retirement in March 1987. Bernice was very active in her church, Berry Road Baptist Church in Norman, and enjoyed traveling, gardening, cross stitching and quilting. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her son Lloyd Moore and his wife Toni of Norman; grandchildren Cody Moore and his mother Maryanne Secrist of Norman, Kyle Cottrell of Norman, Taci Washburn and her husband Chris of Oklahoma City; great-grandchildren Caden Washburn and Jaci Washburn; and other relatives and friends.
