Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Fitzgerald officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St. Mr. Owens was born in Byars, Okla., and moved to Amarillo in 1961 from Hereford. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a truck driver for Merchants Motor Freight and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Owens, in 1984. Survivors include a son, Kenny Owens of Dodge City, Kan.; three daughters, Joyce Wilson, Ann Thomas and Glenda Webb, all of Amarillo; a sister, Esta Reel of Longview; 17 grandchildren; and 20 great- grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center.
