All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== RITTER, John and (1) Tennie Ammons, (2) Ada Kelly John Ritter was born December 16, 1867 in Mississippi. He moved to Arkansas at the age of thirteen, where he lived eighteen years, moving thence to Maxwell, OK near Ada, before moving on to the Dibble area in 1912. He was married to Tennie Ammons. To this union were born four children: Ida, Ethel, Elmer and Stella. Mr. Ritter was married a second time, in 1904, to Ada Kelley, a teacher at Maxwell, I.T. She was born in 1880 in Talcinta Co,Tx. Their five children were: Lucille, Opal, Robert, Zell and Harriet. Mr. and Mrs. Ritter were faithful members of the Baptist Church. He died July 2, 1934 at the home, two and one-half miles north of the old Dare school house. Mrs. Ada Ritter died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Opal McMahan, in Oklahoma City in 1965. Both are buried in Dibble cemetery, along with daughters, Stella Wilkerson, Zell Mason, Ethel Tannehill and Ida White.
