Born in Washington, Okla., Mr. Smith lived in Perris 23 years. He was maintenance supervisor at Loma Linda University, La Sierra campus, for 10 years before he retired in 1978. Mr. Smith was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Perris. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Vivian; two sons, Bruce and Reuben, both of Perris; a daughter, Karen of Banning; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mozell Floyd of New Mexico and Billy McCloster of Texas. Services will be at 1 p.m. today at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park Chapel in Riverside. Burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Park. Miller-Jones Mortuary in Perris is handling arrangements.
