Wilson, born July 3, 1911, went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2005. Corrine was the second child born to Rosie and Solon B. Young. Corinne was born in Hawkins, TX and moved to Colorado at a young age. From there they moved to Alabama, and in her youth she and her family moved to Washington, OK. Corinne met and married her beloved husband of 71 years, Odis V. Wilson, before his death in May 2000. Corinne was the sister of Luther, Oliver (Pee Vee), Ronald C. and Louise, who preceded her in death. Her sister, Etma Lee (Brown) Forsyth, and her husband, Bob Forsyth, reside in La Verne, CA. her sister, Gladys, and her husband, Calvin Erwin, reside in Blanchard, OK. Her brother, Solon, and his wife, Nancy, live in Oklahoma City. Odis's sister, Mattie Pearl Standifer, lives in Oklahoma City, and her brother, John E. Wilson, resides in Woodstock, CA. Many nieces & nephews also survive her. Corinne and Odis moved to California in August 1941. They later moved to Richmond, CA and resided there for 30 years. They were very active in the formation of Clinton Avenue Baptist Church. During her life, Corinne worked in Shipyard 2; owned and operated a dressmaking and alteration business; and worked at the former Brookside Hospital in San Pablo where she retired in 1974. Corinne and Odis both retired in 1974 and moved back to Blanchard, OK for 12 years. They returned to San Leandro, CA in 1986 to be with their children and grandchildren. Two daughters, Doloris Dixon and Delana and her husband, Don Uhlenbrock, survive Corinne. One daughter, Doris Ray, Preceded her in death. Corinne leaves three grandsons, Michael Dixon, Bryan and Scott Uhlenbrock; two granddaughters, Devona Dixon and Joyce Styers; six great- grandchildren, Brett and Shannon Dixon, Sandy Shilling, Jason Bowman, Danielle Styers, and Aaron Uhlenbrock; one great-great-grandson, Timmy Shilling; and a great-great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Shilling. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00pm on Friday, January 6, 2006, at Wilson & Kratzer Civic Center Chapel in Richmond. There will be a private Committal at Sunset View Cemetery in El Cerrito.
