He was born in Wayne, OK on Oct. 23, 1911, to D.R. and Mary Ellen (Hopkins) Williams. After graduating from Chickasha High School, he graduated from East Central State College, completed graduate studies, and pursued doctoral studies at Oklahoma State University. Fred embarked on a life-long career in education as a teacher and school administrator in Seminole County and in the Mid-Del School System. In addition to his career in education, he had his own construction management business which he energetically operated until shortly before his death. Fred, our beloved "Fawf", a "one-in a-million", father, and grandfather, adored by his entire family is survived by his wife of 73 years, Rita Nadine Williams; 2 daughters, Joy Molloy and her husband, Bill; Rosemary Morgan and her husband, David; grandchildren, Debbie Clark, Fred Malloy, Becky Shelton, David Morgan, Jr., Mary Stockett; ten great grandchildren, and friends too numerous to count. Services are 11:00 am, Monday, Dec. 2, 2002 at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel, 5005 S. E. 29th, Del City, OK with burial in Little Cemetery in Seminole, OK at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Diabetes Association.
