All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Hillside Cemetery--Purcell OK Fern Wellman PURCELL, Okla. - Fern Wellman, 81, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2000, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hillside Cemetery with the Rev. Dale Kirkhuff, pastor of First Baptist Church in Lexington officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St., in Amarillo. Mrs. Wellman was born in Hannah and had lived in Purcell most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lexington. She married Cecil Wellman in 1936 at Lexington. He died in 1980. She also was preceded in death by a son, Cecil A. Wellman, in 1970. Survivors include two daughters, Carol Mitchusson of Amarillo and Ann Dunkin of Purcell; a son, Vernon Wellman of Fort Worth, Texas; a brother, Artis Kelley of Lexington; two sisters, Dorothy Tintle of Bloomingdale, N.J., and Evelyn Ille of Lexington; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association. The family will be at 617 Brule. The body will be available for viewing from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Amarillo.
