In her early years she served on the election board and kept the records for the Dibble Cemetery for over twenty years. She was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church of Dibble. She often played piano, sang solos and sang with the choir. Alma's favorite activity was spending time with her family, not only her children, but her many Spivey and Tannehill aunts, uncles and cousins.
