SPARKS CELEBRATE 70TH

Mr. and Mrs. Willard Sparks celebrated 70 years of marriage recently at 
their home near Dibble. 

The Sparks were married January 5, 1936 at Valley View, in rural Grady 
County, near Dibble. The Sparks received family and friends at their home 
January 7, at a reception hosted by their children, Fran Sparks-Fuller of 
Kennedale, TX, Roy Sparks of Chickasha, Bertha Goggin of Midwest City, and 
Glen Sparks of Dibble, and daughters-in-law Janet Sparks of Dibble and Pat 
Sparks of Norman.

Mr. and Mrs. Sparks have lived in the Dibble area since their marriage. 
Mr. Sparks worked as a farmer, and in the oil fields and retired from 
Tinker AFB in 1980 after more than 20 years service. Mrs. Sparks was a 
homemaker raising their seven children and is well known for her sewing 
and crocheting skills. Relatives and friends stopped by to visit, and 
enjoy pictures of the Sparks family through the years.

Attending were Fran and Grady Fuller of Kennedale, TX, Roy Sparks of 
Chickasha, Bertha and Darrell Goggin of Midwest City, Glen Sparks of 
Dibble, Janet Sparks of Dibble and Pat Sparks of Norman. Shawn Sparks of 
Oklahoma City, Jeffrey Mathews of Cushing, Julie Mathews of Stillwater, 
Ryan Sparks of Denton, TX., Lori Sparks, Donna, Jerime, Suzanne, Jamee and 
Mitchell Parker, Jimmy and Sarah Sparks, Wayne and Jaunice Housman, Glenda 
and Becky Ward, and Sylvia Wenholz; all of Dibble. Roger and Wanda 
McMasters, Wanda Sparks-Wilkerson, of Oklahoma City, and Trudy Maxey of 
Moore, and Betty Martin of Blanchard.
