NIGHT--MARCH 6, 1930 Walter Bohannan, aged 22, was killed instantly, his head split open by the blade of an ax, and Wilburn Homma, aged 25, was arrested in connection with the murder following a drunken brawl at an Indian party near Eagletown, about 12 miles east of Broken Bow, late Monday night. Both men are Indians. According to officers, the killing was the culmination of a wild row in which a number of Indians, all guests in the home of John Tonihka, an aged Indian, participated. Bohannan was struck in the top of the head with an ax, crushing and splitting his head open. Homma told county officers that he killed the other after Bohannan attacked him with a razor. Cause of the row could not be learned.
