EAGLETOWN MAN KILLED AT SYKES

RICHARD ALLEN IN LOUISIANA JAIL CHARGED WITH THE KILLING.

Friends of Dailey J. Burrow, formerly of Eagletown, but recently of 
Sykes, La., will deeply regret to know he was killed by Richard 
Allen, also a former resident of Eagletown, at Sykes, La., Friday, 
June 6th, at 5:30p.m.  It is alleged here that a dispute arose over 
the scale reports, which ended in the killing of Burrow.

The remains were shipped here for interment Tuesday and were 
accompanied by Mrs. Burrows, wife of the deceased, and H.E. 
Spaulding, of Sykes.

Allen is now an occupant of the Wingfield Parish Jail, where he was 
placed and refused bail.

Sincere sympathy is extended to the family in their sorrow.
