FRANK WHITE KILLED HIS MAN

SUNDAY MORNING TRAGEDY AT NEGRO DANCE HALL-- WHITE IN COUNTY JAIL.

Frank White shot and instantly killed R.T. McAfee (both colored) here 
Sunday morning, June 8th, at 1:30.  The difficulty arose in the negro 
dance hall, when McAfee tried to collect a debt for Choctaw beer, 
owed him by White.  An argument started up on White's refusal to pay 
the account which ended in McAfee's death.

White was arrested by Officers J.E.C. Huogh, Jim Pyle and Jno. Sage, 
and placed in jail at Idabel to await his preliminary hearing, which 
will come before Major Ben E. Lambert here today.

A "Short Dress Ball" was in progress at the dance hall at the time of 
the killing.
