All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Adair, Isaac "Buddy, Tough Ombre" Isaac "Buddy" Adair "Tough Ombre" Resident of Antioch Buddy was born in Idabel, Oklahoma on June 26, 1918 and went home to be with the Lord on May 4, 2006. He spent his early years in Oklahoma and moved to Antioch after his marriage in June 1943. He entered the US Army in 1942. While serving with Gen. Patton's 90th Division, Buddy participated in the Normandy Invasion, landing on Utah Beach on D- Day. He was wounded during the liberation of Paris and returned home on the Queen Mary. He was awarded the Purple Heart and received an Honorable Discharge. He was known for his patriotism and was a hero to friends and family. He retired from Fibreboard after almost 30 years. Buddy regularly attended the Open Bible Church in Bay Point. He is survived by Ruby, his loving wife of nearly 63 years; six daughters, Mary Jane Reeves, Lorene Woelffel, Pat Adair, Linda White (Rod), Cheryl Woods, Denise Goodman, and one son, Melvin Adair (Terri); 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, 2 brothers and extended family. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 10, 4-8 p.m., at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 11 at 11 a.m. at the Open Bible Church in Bay Point. WE WILL MISS OUR HERO!
