All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Picard Cemetery--Doriss OR HERALD AND NEWS, Klamath Falls, Oregon, Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000 JESS ' PETE ' ADDINGTON Jess "Pete" Addington, 86, Dorris, died Dec. 25, 2000, of natural causes in Klamath Falls. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church in Dorris with Jo Lybrand officiating. Concluding service will follow at Picard Cemetery in Dorris. Ward's Klamath Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Addington was born March 11, 1914, in Broken Bow, Okla., to Robert and Ella (Blair) Addington. He married Catholene Jones on Oct. 18, 1938, in Idabel, Okla. They moved 45 years ago to Dorris. Mr. Addington worked as a pondman for the Dorris Lumber Co. until retiring in 1971. He was a member of the Western Council of Industrial Workers for 50 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. He hunted until he was 82 years old and killed his last bear when he was 80 years old. Survivors include his wife, Catholene Addington of Dorris, seven children, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife, Catholene Addington, Dorris, CA; the father of seven children; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2000, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Dorris with Joe Lybrand officiating. Concluding services will follow at the Picard Cemetery in Dorris.
