J.P. ALFORD WAS BURIED HERE MONDAY P.M. Mrs. J.P. Alford died at the Baptist hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, Friday night of last week at 10:00, following an operation for gall stones. The body was brought to the home of Mr. and Mrs. V.C. Cole in Broken Bow, Sunday afternoon, where the funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1:30, being conducted by Evangelist Hafley, Nazarene preacher, who is in charge of a revival meeting at Idabel. Burial followed in the Broken Bow cemetery. The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful, and a large crowd was in attendance at the funeral. Mrs. Alford, was before her marriage, Miss Bessie Sharrer, and was reared in this city. Soon after her marriage to Mr. Alford, they moved to Fort Worth, Texas, to live. She is survived by her husband, who accompanied the remains to Broken Bow; her mother, Mrs. J.H. Lemly, who lives four miles west of Idabel; one brother, Chester Sharrer, Broken Bow, and one sister, Miss Iola Shields and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. V.C. Cole, of this city.
