McCurtain County Local Newspaper: August 1, 1929

MRS. RICHARD ALLEN DIED TUESDAY MORNING

Mrs. Richard Allen, age 23 years, died at the family home six miles 
north of Broken Bow, Tuesday morning at 2 o'clock, following a few 
days illness. The body was taken to Hochatown where funeral services 
and burial occurred Wednesday.

Mrs. Allen is survived by her husband and three small children; her 
parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.B. Ashford, Hochatown; four sisters, Mrs. 
Felix Futtrell, Mrs. John Bethel, Mrs. Dick Batson and Miss Lillie 
Ashford, and three brothers, Gibb, Buster and Alfred Ashford, of 
Hochatown.
