Jim R., 72, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Sunday, 6-1-2003. He was born to Henry and Mae (Short) Bailey on Aug. 1, 1930 in OKC. Jim lived in the Battiest and Garber areas as a young man and worked in the oil fields. He came to the Del City area in 1960 and located in Newalla in 1982. He owned and operated Bailey's Trenching Inc. for over 25 years. Jim loved fishing and camping. Survivors include his wife, Bernice, whom he married on April 17, 1958 in Perry; 2 sons, Randy and wife, Belinda; David and wife, Diane; daughter, Susan and husband, Dusty; 8 grandchildren, Kelli Bailey, Matt Hopkins, Ashley Brooke, Ashley Renee, Chelsea, Jimmie, Zack and Tyler; 2 great-grandchildren, Zaine and Cade; 2 brothers, Jerry and Chuck; 4 sisters, Mary Murphy, Ona Avery, Darlene O'Dell, Polly Casey; a host of other relatives and friends. His parents, brother, Jetty and sisters, Lottie and Delma preceded him in death. Services are 2:00 pm, Wed., June 4, 2003 at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel with burial in Sunny Lane Cemetery.
