All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Valliant Cemetery--Valliant OK Obituary: Nellie Baker McCurtain Gazette Idabel, Oklahoma March 22, 1985 BAKER SERVICES TO BE SUNDAY Funeral services for Nellie Baker, 81, Garvin, are set for 2 p.m. Sunday (March 24, 1985) in the First Assembly of god Church of Valliant, with the Rev. Paul Wilds, assisted by the Rev. Jimmy Smalling, officiating. She died Thursday (March 21, 1985) in McCurtain Memorial Hospital in Idabel. Born Aug. 21, 1903 in Valliant, she lived in McCurtain County all of her life. She and Emmit baker were married May 15, 1926 in McCurtain County. She was a member o the Seventh Day Church of God. In addition to her husband, Emmit, of the home, she is survived by five sons, Woodward Baker of Garvin, Hurshell Baker of Lemoore, Cal., James Baker of Fairfield, Ohio, Ed Baker of Greenville, S.C., and Don Baker of Choctaw; one sister Emma Moreno of Riverside, Cal., seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
