BEAVERS PASSED AWAY FRIDAY Mrs. R. L. Beavers, aged 77 years, and wife of "Uncle Bob" Beavers, passed away Friday morning at 12:35 o'clock at the family residence here after an illness of two months with paralysis. Mrs. Beavers had lived in Broken Bow the past five years, moving here from Hochatown where she resided more than fifteen years. She was a native of Alabama, being born in Randolph county, on July 8, 1856. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Bean. At the age of 17 years she was converted and united with Mount Prospect Missionary Baptist church in Alabama. She was married at Christmas time in the year 1873 to Robert L. Beavers. To this union there were ten child- ren born, seven of whom survive. Mr. and Mrs. Beavers removed to Fort Worth, Texas in 1881, and the next year moved to Palo Pinto county, Texas, from which place they moved in 1887 to Polk county, Arkansas, moving to McCurtain county, Oklahoma in 1917. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church in Broken Bow, Friday at 2:30 p.m. conducted by Rev. Barnard Franklin, pastor. Interment was in Holly Creek cemetery under direction of Skaggs Funeral Home, Idabel. Pallbearers were C.V. Morgan, D.W. Kolb, S.P. Jacobs, Broken Bow; Pat Pay, Idabel; W.E. Hungate, Frank Pearson, Mena, Ark.; Will Waldrop, Foreman, Ark.; and Joe Johnson, Ashdown, Ark. Mrs. Beavers is survived by her husband; two sons, J.E. Beavers of Broken Bow, Hobb Beavers of Hochatown; five daughters, Mrs. R. Alexander, Sherwood; Mrs. A.L. Michelin, Broken Bow; Mrs. R.L. Parks, Tulsa; Mrs. J.C. Owens, Holdenville, and Mrs. Joe Harrison, Marlow, and one sister, Mrs. Jerry Dingler of Lindsay, Oklahoma, who is 81 years of age.
