All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Grove Hill Memorial Park--Dallas TX Fort Worth Star-Telegram 25 Aug 2005 Martha Hazel Billingsley 1916 - 2005 Martha Hazel Billingsley, 89, passed away Monday, Aug. 22, 2005, at a local hospital. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Sunday at Lakewood Village Retirement Center, 5100 Randol Mill Road, Fort Worth, Curtis Ramey officiating. Graveside service: 11 a.m. Friday in Grove Hill Memorial Park, Dallas. Memorials: Should friends desire, memorials are requested to Lakewood Village Retirement Center of Fort Worth or Vitas Hospice at Baylor- All Saints Medical Center, Fort Worth. Hazel was born March 20, 1916, in Boughton, Ark., to William Dosier and Nellie Johnson Sutton. She grew up in Idabel, Okla. She and her husband, Issac Labon Billingsley, were Dallas residents 35 years before moving to Fort Worth in 1980. Hazel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved nature, camping, traveling and gardening. Hazel received Yard of the Month twice while living in the Rosemont area. She was a member of Rosemont Church of Christ. Her grandchildren fondly remember her as a loving "Nana" who always had a stick of gum in her purse. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a granddaughter, Donna Gail Smith. Survivors: Daughter, Vastene Silva and her husband, George, of Fort Worth; son, Reggie Billingsley and companion, Arlone Fronk, of Roosevelt; grandchildren, Brett Billingsley and wife, Gretchen, of Sacramento, Calif., Chris Smith and fiancee, Annette Wright, of San Diego, Calif., Jana Baldwin and husband, Andy, of Gold Canyon, Ariz., and Rhonda Billingsley; great-grandchildren, Christopher Higginbotham, Hannah Baldwin and Cleo Billingsley; sister-in-law, Ila Faye Cathey; special niece, Patsy Darlene Cathey; many other relatives; and her friends at Lakewood Village. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to McCurtain Archives http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/mccurtain/mccurtai.htm
