::Broken Bow Cemetery--Broken Bow OK

McCurtain County Local Newspaper:

September 17, 1931

AFTER LONG ILLNESS

Mrs. M.J. Boaz, 66 years old, died at 8:10 Saturday night, Sept. 12, 
at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dora Storey, in this city.

Mrs. Boaz was a native of Texas, moving to Oklahoma in 1916, the greater
part of that time living in Broken Bow.  She has lived here with Mrs.
Storey quite a number of years.

At the early age of 13 Mrs. Boaz was converted and for a number of years
has been a member of the Church of Christ.

Funeral services was conducted at 2:30 Sunday afternoon at the Broken Bow
cemetery.  D.F. Watson, elder of The Church of Christ, officiated at the
service.

Mrs. Boaz is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dora Storey, Broken Bow, Mrs.
Rena Mary Creech, of Grants, New Mexico; a son William Carol Boaz, Broken
Bow, and a sister, Mrs. Tennie Weatherly, of Grand Saline, Texas.
