Obituary:Lula Boren

BOREN SERVICES SET SATURDAY

Funeral services for Lula Boren, 94, of Garvin, will be held at 10
a.m. Saturday in the Norwood Funeral Home Chapel in Idabel.

Joe Clardy will officiate services and burial will be in Garvin
Cemetery.

Mrs. Boren, who died Wednesday (March 29, 1989) in Memorial
Heights Nursing Home, (Idabel) is a pioneer McCurtain County
resident, who came here in 1900 from Arkansas. Born Jan. 29, 1895, 
in Wickes, Ark., she lived in Garvin for 55 Years.

Mrs. Boren, a member of the Methodist Church, was a school teacher
for 11 years in McCurtain and Osage counties. She was married to A.
A. Boren, who preceded her in death Dec. 5, 1964.

Survivors include two sisters, Esther Wooten and Emma Settles of
Garvin; two brothers, Garfield Settles of Idabel and Juber Settles
of Valliant, and one nephew who she reared, Leonard Wooten of
Idabel.
