Kenneth Perkins Interment Octavia Cemetery Octavia, Oklahoma Geyer-Quillin Funeral Home Kathy Pitts Collection of Josephine (Bohanan) Smith ========= Obituary JOHN BOWLING Funeral services for John Leo Bowling, 92, Smithville, were at 2 p.m. Monday in the Church of Christ, Zafra, Okla., with Bros. Riley Donica and Kenneth Perkins officiating. Burial was in the Octavia Cemetery under the direction of the Geyer-Quillin funeral Home, Mena, Ark. Bowling died Thursday in the Mena Medical Center. He was born May 8, 1903 in Rich Mountain, Ark., the son of the late Dudley Bowling and Rhoda Snow Bowling. Bowling married Myrtle Phillips in 1926 in DeQueen, Ark. He retired in 1965 from Kansas City Power and Light and was a member of the Zafra Church of Christ. Bowling was preceded in death by three brothers, Willie, Lawson, and Lester Bowling. Survivors include a special friend, Daisy paregien, Smithville; a son, John Junior Bowling; a sister, Lizzie Butler, Neshoba, Okla.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great- grandchildren.
