::Hochatown Cemetery--Hochatown OK

McCurtain County Local Newspaper: 1940

Mrs. J.W. Burke, 75, died Saturday night at her home at Hochatown and
funeral services were held at the Hochatown church, Monday at 10 a.m.,
conducted by Rev. W.B. Tatum, pastor of the First Baptist church of Idabel.

Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased, namely Lance Kincaid, Lennel
Kincaid, Jim Fish, Otis Fish, George James and Leon Burke.

Arrangements were in charge of Wilson Funeral home and interment was made
in Hochatown cemetery.

Mrs. Burke is survived by her husband, J.W. Burke; four sons, Charlie,
John and Clarence of Hochatown, and Jim Burke of Shreveport, La., four
daughters, Mrs. John Fish and Mrs. A.C. Kincaid of Hochatown, Mrs. Guy
Fuquay, Fayetteville, Ark., Mrs. R.B. Seals, Idabel; twenty-five grand-
children and twenty-one great grandchildren; four brothers, Joe Gregg of
California; Charlie and John Gregg of Ada, and Dan Gregg of DeQueen, Ark.;
one sister, Mrs. Ellen Polk, Stonewall.
