Obituary: Dorse Burkis

Sunday: September 7, 1980

=Dorse Burks=       

Services are set for 2 p.m. today for Dorse Burks, 69, Idabel, who 
died Friday in McCurtain Memorial Hospital.       

Funeral services will be in the Norwood-Welch Funeral Chapel in 
Idabel, with the Rev. Bobby Ayres officiating. Burial will be in 
Forest Hill Cemetery, with Norwood-Welch Funeral Home in charge.      

Burks was born March 31, 1911 in Arkansas. He had lived here all his 
life.      

Surviving are his wife, Erma Burks, Idabel; two sons, James Burks, 
Idabel and Archie Burks, Gilmer, Tex.; two daughters, Eva Strickland, 
Garvin and Jean Berkley, Idabel; one brother, James L. Burks, Idabel, 
nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
