All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Delano FH--Delano CA Millie Lillian Busby The Bakersfield Californian 11 December 2003 MILLIE LILLIAN BUSBY Oct. 3, 1920 - Dec. 8, 2003 Minnie was 83 years old, she passed Dec. 8, at approx. 12:20 a.m. She was born Oct, 3, 1920 in Broken Bow, OK. Graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1940. She then went to the Navy in 1943, served 2 1/4 years to 1945. Rank Specialist Q. Served as Communication Specialist in Washington, D.C. Came home in 1945, started college at Southeastern State Teachers college at Durant, OK. Fall of 1945 she met her Marine husband, Thomas J. Busby in a veterans meeting. It was Love at first sight! Married May 4, 1946, in Caddo, OK., Baptist Church, 10 miles north. We were married for 57 2/3 wonderful years. Came to California in 1951, taught school in Buttonwillow, she finally retired in 1990. Became ill August 2002, (8 months). Hospitalized April 4, at Memorial Hospital for 6 1/2 months. Came home Oct. 17th and passed away Dec. 8, at approx. 12:20 a.m. Thomas Busby Survivors: Thomas J. Busby of Delano, CA. Daughter - Sherrian Kaye and husband Paul Reinsch, Montana. Grandsons - John Thomas Reinsch, Shafter, CA and Joseph Paul Reinsch, Montana. Granddaughters - Le- anne Reinsch and Kristina Reinsch of Montana. Visitation: 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Dec. 10th and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Dec. 11th.
