MRS. J.H. CALLAHAM DIED WEDNESDAY Mrs. J.H. Callaham, aged 52 years, died Wednesday morning at 2:15 at the family home in the south part of the city, her death resulting after an illness of several months. Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ in Idabel Wednesday afternoon at 5:00, conducted by Rev. Jeff Reese, of Center Point, Arkansas. A very large number of friends and relatives were present and the floral offerings were in great profusion and beauty. The funeral was directed by the Skaggs Undertaking Company, and burial was made in the Denison cemetery, two miles east of Idabel. Mrs. Callaham united with the Church of Christ in 1895 and has always taken an active part in church work. She was a splendid lady and was loved by all who knew her. She was always in search of an opportunity to be of assistance to her neighbors and others who might be in trouble. She was a devoted mother and wife, and her life's example will long outlive her. She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. Zora A. Franklin, both of this city; father, J.D. Ayers, Center Point, Arkansas; three brothers, S.T. Ayers, Nashville, Ark.; Louis Ayers, Center Point, Ark., and Sam Ayers, Dierks, Ark., and two sisters, Mrs. Janie Tolleson and Mrs. Essie Dowdy, of Nashville, Arkansas, all of whom were present at the funeral except Mrs. Dowdy. Mrs. Callaham had lived in Broken Bow the last eighteen years with the exception of two years while residing in Wilson, returning here last August.
