OBITUARY: Melvin D. Campton

Newspaper: McCurtain Gazette, Idabel, Oklahoma July 12,1990    

CAMPTON RITES    

Services are set at 2 p.m. Friday in the Wright City First Baptist 
Church for Melvin D. Campton, 81, who died Wednesday.   

A member of the wright City First Baptist Church, he was a resident 
of the North Pole Community.   

Burial will be in Glover Cemetery.   

Survivors include his wife, Opal Campton; one step-daughter, Betty 
Jenkins, Mansfield, La., two brothers, Austin Campton, Ballinger, 
Texas and Howard Campton, Antlers.   

Also surving are four sisters, Winnie Cocran, Antlers; Dovie Landfair 
and Dorothy Lorton, Roswell, N.M. and Thelma Bankhead, Sonoma, Cal., 
Three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
