C. CAUDLE DIED AT FORT TOWSON __________ FUNERAL SERVICES HELD AT BAPTIST CHURCH IN THIS CITY TUESDAY P.M. M.C. Caudle, aged 71 years, passed away at the home of Mr. and Mrs. O.B. Medford, at Fort Towson, Monday night, after an illness of three weeks. Mr. Caudle had been in ill health a good many years, and a few years ago was stricken with paralysis, which confined him to his home. The funeral was held from the First Baptist Church of this city Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 o'clock in the presence of a large number of friends and relatives. Rev. Porter Neal, pastor of the First Baptist church of Clarksville, Texas, had charge of the services and was assisted by Rev. A.R. Luton, pastor of the local Methodist church, and Rev. James W. Pippin, of Nash, Oklahoma, who is conducting a revival meeting in Broken Bow at the Baptist church. The body was laid to rest in the Crown Hill cemetery, and burial was under the direction of Snow-Gee Funeral Home, Hugo. Active pall bearers were Bruce Lee, Thomas Almond, Gjuel Crowe, J.H. Johnson, C.A. Adcock, and M.M. Dean. The floral tributes were numerous and beautiful. Mr. and Mrs. Caudle have made their home in this city with Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Greer the last eight years. Mr. Caudle was a consistent member of the Baptist church and was regarded as a good man and citizen, and his going will be sadly missed. He is survived by his wife, one son and five daughters, as follows: O.W. Caudle, Dallas, Texas; Mrs. E.A. Greer, Broken Bow; Mrs. O.B. Medford, Fort Towson; Mrs. W.E. Story, Clarksville, Texas; Mrs. Joe Williams and Mrs. Troy Gilliam, Joplin, Mo., all of whom were in attendance at the funeral except the son, who was unable to attend.
