All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Old Cemetery--Broken Bow OK McCurtain County Local Newspaper: June 30, 1932 Charlie Clark, age 56, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Albert Manis, at 5 p.m., Friday. Mr. Clark had been ill several months suffering from paralysis and his death was not entirely unexpected. He came from Clovis, New Mexico, a week before his death. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon and interment was made in the Old cemetery (Broken Bow). Mr. Clark was born in Muskogee, Okla., in 1876, and lived for the greater part of his life in his native state. As a lawyer, teacher and preacher in the old territory before statehood he became well-known and at the time of his death had many friends and aquaintances from the old territorial days when Oklahoma was in the making. He was a member of the Masons and held the 32nd degree in that organization. Surviving relatives include his wife, Mrs. Charlie Clark; four sons, Fred, Ross and Jack of Broken Bow and Prentis of Dolores, Colo., and two daughters Mrs. Oval Turner of Clovis, N.M., and Mrs. Albert Manis, Broken Bow.
