Obituary: James Leslie 'Les' Cooke, Sr.

JAMES  COOKE, Sr.

Funeral services for James Leslie 'Les' Cooke, Sr., Idabel, will be 
conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the Norwood-Coffey-Leonard Chapel in 
Idabel.

Rev. James Kesner will Officiate, Burial will be in Denison Cemetery. 
He was 84 and had lived in the county most of his life. He was a 
member of the Calvary Baptist church and was a heavy equipment 
operator.

Survivors include his wife, Audie Cooke, Idabel; one son, James 
Leslie Cooke, Jr., Paris, Texas; three daughters, Virginia Bittner, 
Edmond; Venita Shannon and Velesta Ray Brown, both of Oklahoma City.

Also surviving are one brother, Lonnie Cooke, Idabel; three sisters, 
Ila Gray and Novia Capps, both of Idabel and Faye Nix, Durant, 14 
grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
