::Broken Bow Cemetery--Broken Bow OK

McCurtain County Local Newspaper: December 4, 1930

A. C. COTNEY DIED WEDNESDAY NIGHT

A.C. Cotney, who departed this life Wednesday evening, November 26th, 
at 7:45 at his home in the west part of town, was born on October 
3rd, 1850 at Montgomery, Alabama.  Was married to Miss Permelia Ann 
Smith, November 18th, 1869, and came to Broken Bow in 1911 where he 
has remained since that time.

To this union ten children were born, eight of whom are living, J.W. 
Cotney and W.D. Cotney, Idabel; J.C. Cotney, L.M. Cotney and Floyd 
Cotney, of Broken Bow; Mrs. W.D. Davis, Hugo; Mrs. R.L. Dozier, Hot 
Springs, Ark.; J.H. Cotney, Emmett, Arkansas.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. M.S. Peek, pastor of the 
First Christian church, Thursday afternoon at the Broken Bow 
cemetery.

Interment was made immediately afterward.

The News joins the family and friends in their bereavement.
