All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED McCurtain County Local Newspaper: May 16, 1924 MOTHER OF LARGE FAMILY PASSED PEACEFULLY TO FINAL REWARD The sudden death of Mrs. V.E. Coulson, which occurred at her home here May 8, came as a shock to her family and friends. Mrs. Coulson had been ill for some time, but was apparently much better, having been able to be up some ten days, until she was stricken suddenly from which she rallied for several hours before she at last succumbed. Mrs. Coulson was born in Jackson County, Alabama, September 13, 1856, and was married to W.W. Coulson, January 6, 1876. She was the mother of ten children, seven of whom are living and married, and lived to see the fourth generation of her family. She has been a devout member of the Christian Church some 26 years, and was a true Christian, devoted mother, friend and neighbor who will be greatly missed in the community. Mrs. Coulson is survived by her husband, one sister and seven children, as follows: Mrs. W.M. Nowlin, Camden, Ark; Mrs. M.M. Redmond, Pine Bluff, Ark; Mrs. E.F. Taylor, Delight, Ark; Mrs. H.S. Harper, Phoenix, Ariz; J.C. Coulson, Miami, Ariz; A.A. Coulson, Orangefield, Texas; Mrs. W.B. Dedman, Broken Bow, and sister, Mrs. W.R. Fuller, Prescott, Ark., three of whom were unable to attend the funeral. Interment was made here Saturday morning.
