All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Broken Bow Cemetery--Broken Bow OK McCurtain County Local Newspaper: September 11, 1930 FRANK DAVIS DIED EARLY SATURDAY Brother Frank Davis, better known as "Uncle Bob," was born in Bloomfield, Mo., January 22, 1852 and departed this life at the home of his sister, Mrs. S. Wrights, in Broken Bow, September 6th, 1930, age 68 years, 7 months and 14 days. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Wrights, of Broken Bow, and five nephews, Ross Wrights, Broken Bow; John Wrights, Amarillo, Texas; Harry Wrights, Coffeyville, Kansas; Luther Montgomery, De Queen, Arkansas, and Charles Montgomery of Denver, Colorado. Brother Davis had been a member of both the Methodist and Baptist churches. At the time of his death he was a member of the Baptist Church in Arkansas. Prior to making his home with his sister, Mrs. Wrights, he had been gone from this country a number of years, during which he traveled extensively in Europe and other foreign countries. He had been in bad health for several years; and for the last seven years he had made his home with Mrs. Wrights, in and around Broken Bow. During the last two months he had been seriously ill at the home of his sister in Broken Bow. No one could have better care and consideration than had been given him during the years when he could not care for himself. During his serious illness the entire family and also neighbors did all they could for him. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in this city, by Rev. J.F.
